Accidents in the Darkroom
While I like to think I am a good listener, I am very good at forgetting long strings of information. Last Fall, while developing a roll of film, I forgot that the fixer was already diluted and used about 1:9 diluted fixer to water. I believe my stop was the same ratio, so they are stored in complete darkness now.
A day later, Professor Gates asked if we could attempt to re-fix my film in the darkroom, which I had already cut by then. This caused some imperfections in the second fix (needed a bigger tray), yet I believe they added another layer of complexity to the images. Some images were also shot with a sheet of plastic for a filter.
Model is Colleen Williams.
