Final Project

Artist's Statement

Film photography is a medium that I am still understanding my connection to. Along my final project journey, I found that most of my enjoyment was going out and pushing myself to find new ways to capture the area of the Hamilton House. However I was attempting to understand something already in front of me, not what was going on behind the camera.
Each of these photos in my final selections were moments of curiosity or awe, not exactly all the Vaughn Woods area I intended. I had all these little moments from springtime and found that the shoots where I was taking my time and just enjoying shooting were my best shots, and my classmates too. My friend dragged me away from Vaughn woods for a day and took me to Stonehill pond, and I didn't want to go at first, yet some of my best images were taken that day. This collection is about moments that inspired me, light and form balancing with my curiosity and awe of springtime in New Hampshire.
