Aluminium
Aluminum
While ending Darkroom last semester, a classmate of mine was about to throw away her messed up rolls of film. I had been lucky enough to catch her and inherit the film. I have been wondering what to do with it because they aren't really "my" images. I wanted to focus more on the effects the chemicals had.
My object being aluminum gave me ideas to draw with the foil over areas of film scans I had taken. My initial photoshop tests proved this idea would be too hectic with the texture.
This is a test from my own film strips, but I did not like how straightforward they were.
So I moved to abstract it even further. Aluminum has such an intense texture, I wanted to contrast it with the softness of the chemical rivers on the film scans my classmate gave me.
Finding out the Canon does not get along well with my settings.

| The Canon Printer again gives me a messed up print that ended up being more detailed in the orange hues. I almost want to know how it happened so I could recreate this again. |

I love how these turned out! When you printed it out on the Epson, the colors were so beautiful. It's great to see how you went through different processes and methods to end up with a product you were proud of!
